What Up? I’m Serafina Nicole Lúz.

For as long as I can remember I have never quite felt like I fit in with this world. Forever drawn to forests, oceans and deserts, I have felt a deep, loving connection with this unspoken realm. As a child, whenever my own immediate family couldn’t hold the enormity of me, I was able to be comforted by the trees and my animal counterparts. Always the wild one, I was raised in the Santa Cruz Mountains as a premature only child determined to one day, prove that magic was real.

I was raised Catholic and Christian, which blessed me with a general sense of the Divine from a very young age. For all of the faults of religion and all of the ways it destroyed me, I am grateful for the ways in which it expanded me. It taught me to remain curious to the idea that I am bigger than just…this. That something greater than me is at play and I am connected to all of it. I simply never felt connected to the container and dogma of religion itself. It all felt, the same and yet, wrong in some way. More on this later….

As an adult, I have always remained curious. I’ve followed my passions even when I’ve been told not to. I discovered along the way that dreams are where I am immersed in my power. Learning to connect to their mystery has rewarded me the ultimate gift — the gift of understanding, trusting and connecting to myself. There is nothing more empowering than being able to sit with oneself and listen to the voice within. To bring the subconscious imagination to life and see it absolutely blow your fucking mind in the waking world. This is what dreams have done for me. They have proven to me that magic is real, that I am powerful beyond belief, and that there is SO much more to what it means to be “me” than I could have ever imagined.

Rising Wolf is the result of decades of working to find this connection. After years of corporate jobs, school, certifications, research, curiosity, discomfort, questioning, freaking out, breaking down, doubting, and being astonished again and again with the possibilities beyond what I could ever imagine, I’ve come to this place. My dreams have always guided me — even when that meant years of nightmares. They have become my trusted counterpart and the place where I am shown things most people would probably tuck tail and run from. I on the other hand, run towards this wild unknown. I want to understand it all on my own timeline and I want to experience the flawed and imperfect life of being a human in a physical body at the same damn time. To be honest, they have brought me back to the Goddess. Back to my Creator. Back to “God”. Nature has and continues to always hold me through this journey. She is my Mother, my Father, and my greatest Teacher.

I don’t believe in bullshit and I don’t believe in doing this kind of work from a place of ego. This work called to me, not the other way around. I didn’t “choose” this, but was drafted into it and it is the great honor of my life to accept it. I want Rising Wolf to be the community you long for — the community I always longed for. A safe place to explore the unknown no matter where you sit on that spectrum. A place of joy and revitalization for your one wild precious life. A place of ease in realizing that this life is just the damn beginning to an even greater adventure. And so, I offer you a new kind of temple. A school of self. And humans and modalities that have helped me heal and continue to do so.

My wish for all of us is that we learn to do things differently, for the old ways are done — that we all find our way back to love.

So, here it is. Here is my heart. I offer Rising Wolf out to all of us, and I hope that you find yours inside of it too.

I am many things, but I am NOT perfect. I cuss…a fucking LOT. I’m perpetually late. I forget things. I overcommit. I quite literally brake for birds or a good rainbow. I do it all with a laugh and a whole helluva lot of love, because shit…why not? We’re all human. I promise you I will always do my best to be my most authentic and raw self and I hope you’ll feel that you can be yours too.
